Besan is a pulse flour which is prepared by grinding Bengal Gram. The Bengal Gram (known as black chana locally) is sourced fresh from the farms. These are then washed, segregated and processed to separate the gram from its black outer covering. The remaining yellow pulses are then traditionally stone ground - a process that requires patience and hard work alike. Stone grinding adds a characteristic flavour to besan and retains maximum nutrients, thereby providing you the highest quality of food there is.
